When we think back to where the South Street journey began in Summit Lake, we remember the children we were called to love. After school, the bell would ring and footsteps would race up the steps to the Upper Room, shoes piled by the door, backpacks scattered, and kids gathered around the table with snacks and stories. God called us to be present in our neighborhood, and He always gave us what we needed for the children entrusted to us.
Today, more young people continue to need that same steady, loving presence. That is why South Street is preparing to expand our youth programming in 2026. As we welcome more in, this growth will allow us to:
- Move Open Gym into a larger neighborhood space where more kids can gather.
- Welcome middle and high school students with the same consistency we offer in our elementary program.
- Create room for every young person who needs a place to land after school.
Your gift to our $200,000 “Make Room for More” year-end campaign strengthens our youth spaces and supports all our programs, helping more children and teens be welcomed, loved, and seen.
